Build $20K dashboards with Claude Code, then sell them for $2,000

The Excel file from the video, so you can practice on a real workbook instead of made-up numbers.

Just watched the dashboard build? This is the Excel file from it. It is the performance workbook for a company that does not exist, with enough real detail behind it that a dashboard built on top has something to be right or wrong about.

Still from the video: building a KPI dashboard with Claude Code

Why you want a file like this

Nearly every company keeps some version of this. A spreadsheet somebody updates by hand every week so the owner can see how the month is going. It works, it is slow, and a lot of businesses are paying thousands a year for software that does the same job. Claude Code can turn one of these into a live dashboard, and this is a workbook to try it on before you try it on somebody's real numbers.

That matters more than it sounds. The hard part of this build is not making the page look good, it is checking that the numbers coming out the other end are the numbers that went in. You cannot check that against data you invented.

The summary tab, last seven days. Month to date sits beside it in the file, on the same seventeen metrics.

What is in the file

It opens in Excel, and the summary tab uses newer formulas, so open it in a recent version. Google Sheets will show errors on that one tab and correct data on the other seven, which is still everything the dashboard gets built from.

What it costs to run

The file is free and there is nothing to sign up for to use it. The build in the video needs Claude Code, and the video puts the finished dashboard on a free hosting account rather than a paid one, so you can follow the whole thing without spending anything. The paid pieces only appear when a real client does. That is a sign-in wall for their private numbers, and the accounts are theirs, not yours.
